WOW - Measurement scale

Post by daj »

Steve

In an earlier post you said that Cumulus will do the necessary conversion to the scale required by WOW

Can you confirm what settings we select when setting up the Site in WOW (i.e. what is Cumulus sending)

Wind - Knots or m/sec
Temp - C or F
Pressure - Hecto Pascal or Millibar

It shouldn't matter what you set at WOW, Cumulus just sends the units required by the WOW interface - the units are fixed, e.g. wind speed in mph, temp in F etc. Basically, they're using the Weather Underground protocol. See http://wow.metoffice.gov.uk/support?cat ... ts#dataAWS
