problem with Google Analytics

Post by Indycat »

I've tried to add Google Analytics to my site http://www.galwayweather.co.uk
I'm pretty sure I've added the tracking code correctly but I can't see any data.

Any help would be much appreciated - thanks

When did you add the code?

GA only updates the stats once per day, so if you only added today it may not appear until tomorrow

I have had a look at your page source and the code is not in there so I think you have put
the code into the file called index.htm you need to put it into the files called indexT.htm and the ones which ends in T.htm in Cumulus under Web because Cumulus overwrites all the date in the one's which end in .htm

I hope this Helps.

I can see the Code now I was looking on the bottom for the code and not the top part I wonder if that is why it is not working.

Because I think google say that it should be on the bottom on there website.

actually, that's a good point. GA does want the code to appear right before the </body> tag - i.e. at the end of your site code.
