Do you mean that the files that you upload manually to create the site are zero bytes, or the files that Cumulus uploads are zero bytes?

Can you explain exactly what you have done? Can you give a link to your web site? You haven't given anyone anything to even begin to guess at what the problem might be.

A possible problem might be the space in "weather camulus". It's not a good idea to have spaces in web or ftp addresses.

I see you have 'active ftp' ticked now. Had you previously tried it with it not ticked?

If I understand that file manager image correctly, you don't seem to have followed the instructions for setting up the web site. The images are in the same directory as the html pages. This happens when you haven't created the "images" folder. I think the best way forward is to make sure you have followed all of the instructions, and then turn on ftp logging and attach the ftplog.txt file. You might also want to reconsider whether you really want to call the folder "weather camulus".

Hi steve thanks for your help.

i have loaded the files as per instructions using filezilla ftp client.
however when cumulus loads files it just loads blanks doc 5.
doc 6 shows upload from ftp.
do i need to be putting some files into another folder in cumulus ??
really not getting this but thanks again for your time.

Turn on ftp logging, attempt an upload, and attach the ftplog.txt file (from the folder where you installed Cumulus on your PC).

Yes, just the last part should do; presumably it's failing the same way every time.

It looks like you're using 'delete before upload' and 'rename'; it doesn't really make sense to use both.

To keep things simple I suggest turning off both of those and seeing if a 'normal' upload works. If not, then I don't know what else to suggest, as the server isn't returning any errors, so it looks like a problem at the server end.

thanks for looking no difference but the only thing i noticed is the ftpls file in web folder in cmulus has no bites, is this normal and cant help thinking i'm missing something because i could get vantage pro to work using the original software but its a poor web layout, i did have problems at the start with that programme, and i had to make another folder in templates which seemed to work.

thanks again just wanted to get it working.

Have you tried both settings of active ftp mode, on and off?

Sorry, somehow I completely missed these error messages in the ftp log:

15:38:21:796 FTP Response: 425 Could not open data connection to port 5208: Connection timed out

This is either a firewall blocking the connection, or the active ftp mode setting, or both.
