Daily rain showing 2020

Post by LanceNZ »

Now that could be quite the revelation that Cumulus can display a daily rain graph for the period 23-11-2020 to 28-12-2020 but it doesn't match the rest of the data.

Recently (for some reason) the link between the station and desktop went down. After replacing the batteries and jiggly poking things came back to life. The rainfall rate for the month shot up to 608mm, but I got that pulled back.

Everything displays fine - except the daily rain graph - which is stuck in the future.

I'm picking it's a simple date find/change in one of the files. Having trawled everything I could fine and hunted through this forum and other online searches I'm stuck on this one point.

Please anyone?

The daily rain graph is plotted from the data in dayfile.txt, and Cumulus assumes a date format in that file of dd/mm/yy, (e.g. 11/05/11), so if you've edited that file and and now have a date in the format dd/mm/yyyy, eg. 11/05/2011, Cumulus will take the '20' part of the year, add 2000 to it, and come up with 2020.

I'm glad it was as easy as that. Changed the date format and wallah...perfect. Thanks Steve, really appreciate the response and hope the donation assists.
