False max wind gust

Post by CaLi »

Hope someone can help or point me in the right direction, i have searched and found similar problems with rain and looked at removing the reading but i have tried and i can not get rid of a false reading from my data.

Highest Wind Gust 130.0 mph at 18:02 on 03 March 2011

i opened the march11log and found where this data was and changed the 130 to 13 thinking that would work. (it didn't)

i then went into the alltimelog and changed the entry 2011-03-03 18:02 129.966 "All time high wind gust" 2011-02-04 19:36 34.896 to a high that was 1mph higher than the previous max gust

restarted cumulus with both but the all time high wind just is still sat there in the records :( i have also tried removing the alltime entry but t hat didn't work either

Regards CaLi

The alltimelog.txt file is just a log of changes to the all-time records provided so that you can make corrections; Cumulus never reads this file, so changing it has no effect. The all-time records are held in the alltime.ini file. You can either stop Cumulus and edit this file manually, or use the built-in all-time record editor in Cumulus (from the 'Edit' menu).

cheers Steve, helps if im looking in the right place lol.

one final question, i have now set it via the edit alltime high in cumulus to the previous max gust recorded 34mph.

Next time i have a gust higher than this entry will cumulus record this as my new record and change this in my records? or will it still think the corrupt 130mph is my hidden maximum?

The 130mph value is gone for good now, as far as Cumulus concerned, it no longer knows about it.
