I set up Cumulus for my brother just now and I noticed that the main PC interface is not displaying correctly (website works fine: www.deakinwx.com/wxmerim ). The bottom part of the window is crunched up, or if I show the current conditions box, only part of it displays. And if I turn on Cumulus' pressure trend description, it prints over top of the "Pressure" title text.
Another friend (in Tennessee, US) reported similar problems. Build 961, C 1.9.1
Also, the maximise window control doesn't change the window size. In my brother's case this is on a small Acer laptop with a 1024x600 screen. (I think Mark in TN is also using a smallish screen but I don't know what size.)
I have no display trouble with the same config on my larger Dell laptop screen, though on that PC the window also will not maximise to full screen.
(All systems are using XP pro sp3).
This seems like either a bug or a configuration setting that I have not found. What is the fix for it?

Re: PC interface display problems
In the first instance, I'd recommend upgrading Cumulus to the latest version.
Regarding 'maximise to full screen', Cumulus will only maximise to the size predefined by Steve, i.e. it can't fill a screen on larger monitors.

Re: PC interface display problems
Any display oddities such as you describe are usually down to the screen resolution and/or DPI settings and/or font settings. I've done my best to cater for the vast array of different settings in use, and it does try to resize itself smaller to cater for displays of less than 1024x768 (its 'native' resolution) but occasionally, even in larger resolutions, with certain DPI and font settings the display is less than perfect.
I did a few changes in one of the 1.9.1 builds which improved things a little, but there's a limit to what I can do without large-scale changes.
It's intentional that you can't maximise to full screen; there would be little point as you would just get an empty border around two sides of the actual display.
And as Paul says, you should be running the 'release' version of 1.9.1; some problems may well have been fixed or at least improved a little (but what I've said above still applies even to the latest version).

Re: PC interface display problems
OK, I'll try the release version. The problem (as I suspected) stems from the little Acer laptop's 1024x600 screen -- it does run default font settings, but the screen size is decidedly not typical.
