Hi: Any idea why this might happen: My console says the pressure is 31.36...The upload to several sites indicates it is 29.42...All my other parameters are correct at the upload sites...Thanks for the assistance...

Re: Barometer Upload Discrepancy
Hi Steve
"SOME" sites might do minor adjustments to your readings, depending on readings from other stations around you, as far as I know wunderground does this, my readings on my station & cumulus & my website never seem to match up to Wunderground exactly.
Can you tell us which sites please buddy!

... and what figure is Cumulus itself showing? You may have this problem:
http://wiki.sandaysoft.com/a/FAQ#Cumulu ... et_console
Another possibility is that you haven't set the sea-level ('relative') pressure on your console correctly, and/or you're looking at 'absolute' pressure on the console.

Re: Barometer Upload Discrepancy
Thanks for the info...I'm afraid I might need more! I have set the console to the National Weather Service Relative hum of 29.78...My Cumulus display reads 32.27...EasyWeather doesn't make any sense at all, and will not let me enter absolute values...If I attempt to correct the situation through EasyWeather, it will never let me save any values...I can enter the Rel value, but it keeps asking me for an absolute value but won't accept it...Arghhh...Can you walk me through this? Sorry to be a pest, but I am brand new at this, having had my station up for 2 days...Thanks for your patience...
Steve
How do I determine my "pressure offset"...Thanks again...

Re: Barometer Upload Discrepancy
You need to set your console relative pressure to your value from NWS. Press the PRESSURE button three times; + and - buttons should be flashing, and the 'rel' icon should be visible. Use the + and - buttons to set the relative pressure to your NWS figure. Press the PRESSURE button a few more times (four?) until the display returns to normal.
If you do this with Cumulus stopped, when you then start Cumulus, it should be displaying the same figure as your console relative value. If not, you have the problem described in the FAQ and you can use the circumvention of the EWpressureoffset setting. The value to use for that is the difference between the rel value and abs value on your console.

Re: Barometer Upload Discrepancy
That seemed to solve it! Really appreciate your assistance...Is it smarter to make changes/adjustments from the console rather than from EasyWeather? That program seems to have a mind of it's own...
Thanks again, and I'm sure I'll be back!

I would say so. I think the only thing you can't change from the console (and hence need to use EW) is the logger interval.LTCSZ wrote:Is it smarter to make changes/adjustments from the console rather than from EasyWeather?
