You've almost certainly configured the ftp path/directory incorrectly, so when Cumulus constructs a full path for the realtime.txt file, it creates something which doesn't exist on your server. It's difficult for anyone to say what you need to put if you can't work it out, as it depends on how your server filestore is organised. If you tell us what you've put, it might be possible to suggest what it should be.
One tip is that if 'normal' upload files are getting to the right place, you may well just need to leave the directory blank.

Thanks for replying Steve,
Yes all the other files i.e gauges.html are uploading fine its just realtime.txt is the problem.
My weather station is
http://newberryhome.homeip.net
Everything works except realtime.txt .
when i'm home from work i'll post a screenshot of the directory i use with Cumulus.
I use xampp so it installs apache2 and filezilla as a ftp server. Everything is being run on the same server.
the directory i use is xampp/apache/htdocs where the fault root directory is for apache2 or httpd.
in FTP Zilla it says htdocs/realtime.txt file invalid i dunno why it says htdocs before it.
Appreciate your help mate.
P.S would be nice if the webpage updated every minute automatically as in <meta http-equiv="refresh" content="60">
So you don't have to keep doing F5 everytime.

You should be able to work out what path you need if you log in with an ftp client with the same user and password that you've given to Cumulus, and then work out the relative path from wherever you are when you log in, to wherever it is that you want the realtime.txt file to be put. I suspect you're already there and need to leave it blank.

No, that would be really horrible

. It breaks W3C guidelines, and there are much better ways (though more involved) of getting the figures to update automatically.
But if you really do want to do it, you can always edit the pages; it's your web site.

Richard,
You could try this method
https://cumulus.hosiene.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=4720. It's quite easy to do, many have done so already.

Richard, I have been using XAMPP for a few years (I am now/still running version 1.7.3 as the latest release 1.7.4 has shown to be too unstable) and, on my computer, the 'htdocs' directory (the root directory for all my web pages) is located directly under 'xampp' and not two levels below...
Since Cumulus has been installed on the same drive as the XAMPP system, I do not use FileZilla to upload the Cumulus files - but I use FileZilla to upload some other weather related files (produced by other software) and I have had no problem whatsoever with missing files...

Thanks, Ray, I completely missed that part of Richard's message. One solution to Richard's problem would be to get Cumulus to copy the files instead of using ftp.

Indeed, it has proven much easier (and more reliable) to program Cumulus to copy the files over to the different sub-directories where I have my web pages installed - thanks also to you for the increase number of files that Cumulus can copy...

Don't forget toolbox as well, I find that one pretty damn handy if you run out of space in Cumulus! and its just as easy to program too!
(and coming from an idiot like me, that says something lol)

Cheers mate,
I feel like a dumba** lol but long as it's working now.
Just want to edit the template file for indext.hml so the page updates every minute and add the realtime to a link on the page.
i like this Cumulus software.
