1.9.1 and Wunderground catchup

My wireless connection on my weather computer is pretty flaky and frequently drops for hours at a time until I notice it and reset it. I was happy to see that there is a Weather Underground catch-up feature in version 1.9.1.
Is there something I need to do to activate the feature? It isn't working for me by default and I'm not sure if it should be.

When I realise that my Internet connection has dropped out, I usually shut down Cumulus, copy a backup from before the connection dropped out over the existing data, before restarting Cumulus
Cumulus then gets the data from the station logger and uploads the missing data to WU as if it had been off line.

The 'catch up' facility is for periods where you haven't been running Cumulus, it's not intended to cater for flaky internet connections.

Now I understand -- I'll probably start trying that copy-from-the-backup trick suggested up above.

I have similar problem.
Cumulus gets the data from the station logger, when I turn on my PC, but there is no uploads to WU. Does anyone know why, my internet connection is excellent.
And one question for Steve. On which base do you calculate Apparent temperature?

You have a DNS problem:
11.4.2011 09:50:32.990 : An error has occurred during the Wunderground update: can't resolve hostname to IP address
11.4.2011 09:50:32.990 : Uploading Wunderground archive #2
11.4.2011 09:50:33.990 : An error has occurred during the Wunderground update: can't resolve hostname to IP address
11.4.2011 09:50:33.990 : Uploading Wunderground archive #3
11.4.2011 09:50:34.990 : An error has occurred during the Wunderground update: can't resolve hostname to IP address
11.4.2011 09:50:34.990 : Uploading Wunderground archive #4
11.4.2011 09:50:35.990 : An error has occurred during the Wunderground update: can't resolve hostname to IP address
11.4.2011 09:50:35.990 : Wunderground archive upload complete
The name of the server which is failing to resolve is weatherstation.wunderground.com, if that helps.

Is any way to solve that problem?

Fix your DNS
Your system had only been up for just over a minute; have you got Cumulus running automatically from the start up folder? Is it possible that your internet connection hadn't started up yet? That's the most likely explanation, as you're getting updates later just fine.
In fact, you seem to have made several attempts to start Cumulus just after your system had loaded:
11.4.2011 09:49:11.738 : System Uptime: 34 seconds
11.4.2011 09:49:48.009 : System Uptime: 1 minute 11 seconds
11.4.2011 09:50:01.600 : System Uptime: 1 minute 24 seconds
11.4.2011 09:50:09.399 : System Uptime: 1 minute 32 seconds
11.4.2011 09:50:17.974 : System Uptime: 1 minute 41 seconds
What's going on there?

I think that you find a solution for my problems.
Cumulus launches automatically on start up. I set up that with Tune up Utilities Soft, after the first installation of 1.9. version.
At the time of running Cumulus, my network is offline, so probably thats the reason that there is no WU catchup.
I dont know why the cumulus try to restart several times, sounds very weird.
Thanks again for your help, Steve!

I ll try to disable automatic startup tomorrow to see the results on WU.
