Hi to you all
I have recently changed my station from a OS WMR200 to a Fine Offset WH-2081, and I am currently trialling Cumulus. My barometric pressure on the console is set to relative pressure and reads 1014.4hpa.
I have checked this against my old OS WMR200 console and with my local Metar and have found that the WH-2081 reads about 8 hpa below.
Do you think there is an issue with the pressure sensor in the WH-2081 unit?
I have set an barometer offset of +8hpa in Cumulus to correct the error. Have I approached the problem correctly or should I have used another method?
Thanks in advance
Alan

You need to calibrate your barometer using a nearby reliable source. Just set the relative pressure to the correct value, using your old station or metar info. You shouldn't need to use the calibration setting in Cumulus.

Thanks Steve. Setting the relative pressure to the correct value, is that done through easyweather or the console or in Cumulus?steve wrote:You need to calibrate your barometer using a nearby reliable source. Use the console; the instructions should be in the manual, assuming you have one. If not, I can find mine and tell you what to do.

Thank you for your time Steve. The manual is very unhelpful in this regard but I have been able to set it from the easyweather software.steve wrote:Use the console; the instructions should be in the manual, assuming you have one. If not, I can find mine and tell you what to do.
Looks like a donation will be coming your way!

I'm curious to know why you changed from a WMR200 to a Fine Offset. Isn't the WMR200 a much better station?

Three reasons. The hygro/thermo unit arm broke off and was un-mendable, I was unable to get consistent signals to the console with the wind sensors at the correct height and Cumulus appears not to accept the OS station.
