I'm interested in moving my PWS to Cumulus software. I'm currently using Dallas -1-wire hardware, which I see isn't presently supported?
I read also that there is a user who is working with Arduino to possibly build an interface to Cumulus. I see several advantages to this approach, among them offloading the cpu load of communicating with outside hardware and stations, the possibility to provide a "data logger" for a station that doesn't have one and the fact that Cumulus then doesn't care what type of station it gets its data from (that may be a simplistic view
So questions;
1. Is support for 1-wire planned (and anywhere near the top of the list?)
2. Which of the sensors would be supported (Dir, rain, solar, UV, multi temp, humidity etc etc)
3. Does Cumulus fetch data, or can it also listen?
4. Is there a "native" data format that Cumulus uses and is it published anywhere?
I'd be very keen to build an Arduino based 1-wire interface if I know how to format the data for Cumulus. Someone else suggested using something like one of the WMRxxx formats to fake a supported station, on the surface that seems like a fairly good idea too.
Many thanks, I'll be following Cumulus with interest
