And I did think that BT had broken the loopback facility on the HH3 - but maybe connected with this issue?

I think Yawcam site is definately offline right now if you look here: http://hem.bredband.net/yawcam/
Yawcam - Yet Another Webcam Software
The ordinary Yawcam.com is down due to server failure.
Download the latest version of Yawcam from here:

yawcam_install.exe

I'm working on getting the site up as soon as possible.
With the Yawcam site offline, is this why my streaming isn't working?

I had wondered at the coincidence between the site going down and loopback not working on my HH3. Perhaps the jury is still out!!

Thanks so much. Mine too.

But what is worrying is the question as to why it is dependent on the yawcam site to function. Not what i would have been expecting, and a bit concerning.

cheers

A new release has been, well, released :)

2012-06-11:
Yawcam 0.3.8 has been released. This is new:

- Fixed DSJ timeout problem for IP-cameras.
- Fixed a problem with FTP using IPV6 config and JRE7.
- Added compatibility with more ftp servers.
- Added support for running as a service with a 64-bit JRE.

I believe the site is down again. When it came back up last time I unchecked the check for new version and ip check, but my cameras are not functioning today. Anyone else having the same issue?

Yes, cam is OK this time - always possible I made an error with the IP last time due to a possible hardware re-boot :-((

My once-a-minute image ftp to Weather Underground did not work during the time the Yawcam site was down but my live stream was fine. It started back by itself when Yawcam came back up. Any thoughts and suggestion how I could avoid that in the future?

My cameras are back online now. I think they just needed a pc reboot. Looks like unchecking the box in options for check version and updates worked. This may help with the above issue. See Pics here

I now think after seeing other forum posts that it was coincidental that the ftp errors and the Yawcam website being down at the same time, and the real culprit was at Weather Underground end. Everything came back up when WU site was back on line.

Thanks for your comments and settings, and I will check mine.

Once again my Live stream has stopped working....I can only put it down to the Yawcam site not working....can't think what else it would be.

Port 80, 8081, 8888 and 8080 are open, and I am using DNSDynamic to assign my ip to ironeagleuk.dnsdynamic.com.

I don't know what else to try....I have this week put a clean install of Windows 7 on my machine, but am sure I have everything setup correctly....i've even turned the firewall off.

Yes it shows the follwoing:
[12:54] UPNP: Port 8888/TCP mapped to 192.168.2.150
[12:54] UPNP: Found device Belkin International, Inc. Internet Gateway Device with UPnP support N Wireless Modem Router
[12:54] UPNP: Port 8081/TCP mapped to 192.168.2.150
I have those mapped in my virtual server list on my router

Image

I've only just added the webcamXP entry

I can view both my cams using the following links locally:

http://192.168.2.150:8081/

http://192.168.2.150:8080/

both ports are open

Image

DNS Dynamic is sharing my local ports and IP

Image

Am not sure what else needs setting

It was working fine previously on this address: http://ironeagleuk.dnsdynamic.com:8081/
