You not have any problems with your neighbours & your cam? I had a security one once, looking over my car, and it copped the neighbours drive....I had a knock at the door off the cops!

Not so far - I normally only turn it on when the weather gets interesting though. The sea is at the bottom of the street. TBH most of us are glad to keep an eye open fopr each other as the local scrap merchants tend to take anything that isn't bolted down!!

I must look to see how I can get it onto a php page -

Cheers

Just to clarify - are others using 0.3.5 or 6 and still successfully getting broadcast?
I am running 0.3.5 built 2011-02-19 and have never had any of these problems.

:bash: Until I just re-booted my PC... and same problem here, when re-starting the program it doen't check the website though.

Also having a problem with ftping the picture to a website. Picture ftps, with the correct timestamp but an old picture. Not sure if this is related to the Yawcam problems. More research required.
Here's how I was able to fix this (Windows 7):

1. Download and install WAMP
2. Create a blank file called ipq.php and save here: C:\wamp\www\yawcam\
3. Open your hosts file (C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts) and add the following line:

Code: Select all

127.0.0.1 hem.bredband.net
4. Open Yawcam (The error should be gone)
5. If the webcam preview is black, in the menu bar go to Settings > Edit Settings > Connection and uncheck everything. Then restart your machine.

Just to remove the error message you could also go to settings/edit settings/configure/connection and uncheck the 'check on startup' button.

I am having problem with ftp old image with current timestamp.I am runing 2 yawcam as a service, and i am pretty sure the problem wasn't there initially, but i dont remember which JRE caused it.I am sure it is JRE related issue, cause all strange things in this program has to do do with JRE.If someone uses yawcam without latest JRE,and it ftping current snapshot and not old one, please post here or send me a pm.
Also, dont install JRE 7.Causes a lot of additional things to not work as expected, like for example timestamp in the image is not changeable(position, colour, size, content).

I have been having problems with the webcam access going offline but it is now quite stable and not a problem after I turned off the settings in Yawcam under connection for detect IP at startup. This stopped me getting the error message to do with "can't find IP". I also turned off "check for new version" so I am not sure which of these settings made yawcam stable.
I do have a fixed IP address so it may not work on dynamic IP's

Hi folks,

I am once again having trouble accessing the yawcam site. I'm with BT and am wondering if the site has been blocked specifically, or if it is down generally?

Thanks - A while after posting I came across another test site which gave the same result. No further forward though in knowing what is going on.

When I do the "Am I online" and "What's my URL?", both don't come up with anything (bar site not found), even though the http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com/yawcam.com site is suggesting it's just me and the site is up. This is not normal, but I don't know know what's wrong.
