The yawcam page is the same as it has been for a few days just with the download links?

I noticed this morning that I got the failed to detect IP message - doesn't look as if I am online either, and the yawcam website has no DNS ATM.

Wonder what's up?

Cheers

Yup...my Yawcam craps out after a time and I get the failed IP.

What I wonder is....why would yawcam need to contact their home page to work and what are they doing with the contact??

I haven't downloaded any new versions. Mine is Version 0.3.6 built: 2011-03-22, and is working fine except for "Am I online", "What's my URL" and other web related features.

I am wondering if any Microsoft update has caused an issue - as with others the prog works apart from web broadcasting.

I also can't get the Webcam XP 5 to broadcast either. Router is unchanged with relevant ports open.

I just ran up an old copy 0.3.5 that I had. It comes up with the IP error too, and tells me there is an update (0.3.6).

I suspect it uses (used) the Yawcam web server to determine what your Internet facing IP address is, probably with a bit of PHP code - which is no longer there.

Just to clarify - are others using 0.3.5 or 6 and still successfully getting broadcast?

What about V 0.3.2 - I seem to remember that some people went 'back' to that because of problems with the later releases.

What an excellent web site - I might want to pick your brains on your computer statistics monitoring. I wonder if using php makes a difference - I might re-boot the router as well now I know I am alone!!
