A little off topic but I think the thread heading covers it anyway:
I've a Fine Offset type station which displays Relative or Absolute Pressure, which if these does Cumulus use and can it be changed? I've noticed sometimes when I reinstall or re-start Cumulus it seems to give me a huge pressure increase / trend and sometimes an error comes up too but I'm not sure as to why?

Re: pressure?
Cumulus always uses relative (aka Sea Level) pressure because that's the only one that is of any use for meteorological purposes.SUBYDAZZ wrote:I've a Fine Offset type station which displays Relative or Absolute Pressure, which if these does Cumulus use and can it be changed?
If the problem is with the reading of the 'offset' (the difference between absolute and relative) you can set the 'offset' directly in Cumulus: http://wiki.sandaysoft.com/a/FAQ#Cumulu ... et_consoleI've noticed sometimes when I reinstall or re-start Cumulus it seems to give me a huge pressure increase / trend and sometimes an error comes up too but I'm not sure as to why?

Re: pressure?
How do I know what my pressure offset is? Is it a constant number that is the difference between my stations' relative and absolute pressure displayed? To circumvent this, you can edit cumulus.ini, and in the [Station] section add an entry:
where x.y is your pressure offset. Cumulus will then use this instead of reading it from the station.EWpressureoffset=x.y

Re: pressure?
I can't recall exactly what the error that came up on the main screen error light was but it was something to do with pressure and using something else instead. If that makes any sense.
Here's what happened when I just installed the 986 beta after closing down my 985 version:

Yes, that's what the FAQ says.SUBYDAZZ wrote:How do I know what my pressure offset is? Is it a constant number that is the difference between my stations' relative and absolute pressure displayed?
