in cumulus i see a trend of -0.025in/hr
cumulus is show falling
an the code i did is showing Fallingslowly
two question 1 should -0.025 show falling
2 in cumulus how do you convert from inhg to mb
thanks

Code: Select all

if ThreeHourlyPressureChangeMB > 6 then
    presstrendstr := Risingveryrapidly
  else if ThreeHourlyPressureChangeMB > 3.5 then
    presstrendstr := Risingquickly
  else if ThreeHourlyPressureChangeMB > 1.5 then
    presstrendstr := Rising
  else if ThreeHourlyPressureChangeMB > 0.1 then
    presstrendstr := Risingslowly
  else if ThreeHourlyPressureChangeMB > -0.1 then
    presstrendstr := Steady
  else if ThreeHourlyPressureChangeMB > -1.5 then
    presstrendstr := Fallingslowly
  else if ThreeHourlyPressureChangeMB > -3.5 then
    presstrendstr := Falling
  else if ThreeHourlyPressureChangeMB > -6 then
    presstrendstr := Fallingquickly
  else
    presstrendstr := Fallingveryrapidly;

Are you trying to change the Cumulus code? :? Or just your website scripts?

1 inHg = 33.86 mb

-0.025 in/hr = -0.85 mb/hr = -2.54 mb in three hours = "Falling".

Hi Steve,

I can see how -0.025/33.86 wood = -0.85 mb/hr but then how do you get the -2.54
Thanks Beau

You multiply by three to get the three-hourly change that the trend code requires.

Hi Steve,

I noted in this code
the values are the same as 3 hour is this wrong what the numbers be for hourly change

Code: Select all

 if HourlyPressureChangeMB > 6 then
    presstrendstr := Risingveryrapidly
  else if HourlyPressureChangeMB > 3.5 then
    presstrendstr := Risingquickly
  else if HourlyPressureChangeMB > 1.5 then
    presstrendstr := Rising
  else if HourlyPressureChangeMB > 0.1 then
    presstrendstr := Risingslowly
  else if HourlyPressureChangeMB > -0.1 then
    presstrendstr := Steady
  else if HourlyPressureChangeMB > -1.5 then
    presstrendstr := Fallingslowly
  else if HourlyPressureChangeMB > -3.5 then
    presstrendstr := Falling
  else if HourlyPressureChangeMB > -6 then
    presstrendstr := Fallingquickly
  else
    presstrendstr := Fallingveryrapidly;

thanks Beau

In the thread where I gave you that code originally, I told you that I had made a mistake and then quoted the correct code, with the variable named ThreeHourlyPressureChangeMB.
