Hi Steve,
Just installed the latest version on my Le Hamel system and noticed the memory usage by Cumulus has increased somewhat. It used to use about 50mb RAM and is now using 150mb RAM, have a look at my status page.
Are you aware of anything that would cause this since 982?
Everything is running fine so not really a problem as it is running on a dedicated machine.

That figure isn't the amount of memory that it's using; it's the amount of memory allocated that it could use if it wanted to. My allocated memory is currently 50 Mb, but task manager shows 28 Mb. And even task manager isn't a reliable indicator of how much memory something is actually using.
Edit: but to answer your question, the only thing that has changed that could cause increased memory usage since 982 is a new version of the TMS components (the wind gauge, gradient panels etc).

I turned on leak checking but it didn't find anything. On my Windows 7/Fine Offset system, <#AllocatedMemory> shows 70MB and task manager shows 37MB. On my WHS/Davis system, <#AllocatedMemory> shows 40MB and task manager shows 50MB. I'm not convinced that any of this tells us anything useful!

Thanks for looking Steve and thanks for the explanation. It may have all been a false alarm. I've just rebooted the PC and the memory allocation has now dropped to 19mb (I hadn't rebooted the PC after the install yesterday but I guess I shouldn't necesarily need to). I'll see if the same happens when I upgrade GCS next week.

must admit with mine, when i first run 986, it jumped up to 91mb for first reading, might have been to do with the initial upload
