That was actually set at 49.5 when I got the last 114 reading.
Now it is 34.4 same as ini file.

Hope i did it all the right way.

49.5 m/s is approx 111 mph, so it should have filtered out a reading of 114 mph, assuming you've edited cumulus.ini correctly and you're not using any wind multipliers. But looking at the code, I can't see how it can fail, it's a very simple check.

If you send me just the [Station] section of your cumulus.ini file, I'll see if I can spot what the problem might be.

You haven't actually got the LCMaxWind setting in there, so that explains why it didn't work. You need to add

LCMaxWind=49.9

to the [Station] section, with Cumulus stopped.

That was quick - I assumed that was added via the config part of cumulus.
Have just changed it and put config spike settings back to orig 999.0
if that is correct.

Yes, this change should stop the 114 mph, probably best to leave the spike settings until you find you actually need them.
