Downloading Data

Dear Steve and forum
usualy i turn off my pc at night and trun it on on the morning.
i realise that today Cumulus dit not import the data from my station, even the download data didnt take a few time like usual
even in the log file no data registered concerning the period when ,my pc was off.
i have lacrosse ws2316 and cumulus 1.9.1 beta

following to my previous mail, this problem began when i had change my PC
what i've done is took a backup of the 2 files "data @ backup"
install the cumulus 1.9.1 on my new pc, then i copied the back up to cumulus folder

Try un-checking the copied files so they're not read only.

the back up copied to the new cumulus installtion foder are "data & backup"
i replace it with the one existing in the new cumulus folder.
but how can i uncheck if it was read only ?

Which files did you copy? You need to copy all of the files. If you didn't copy them all, this probably explains why you didn't get any data downloaded from the logger, you've just confused Cumulus.
Best to follow the procedure that Jack has linked to.

If you have copied all of the files correctly, the most likely cause of the problem is that your system locale settings (date/time format, decimal and list separators etc) are not the same on the new PC as they were on the old one.

i copied only the "data & the Back up" folders only and replaced with the one existing in the new cumulus folders
should copy all folder and files existing on the old pc ?????????

That should normally be enough. Are your system date/time/etc settings the same on the new PC as on the old one?
If you zip up the diags folder I'll have a look.
