Hello there.
I have a problem with a spider web in the rain gauge,
How do I disconnect it and clean, any batteries to be moved or completely switched off?
Many thanks
Fred.

Unplug it from the transmitter
The top is just held on with 2 lugs at each side
I put some aluminium mesh across the holes.
The latest model has smaller holes, but you can still fit a small piece of mesh across the drain holes to make sure nothing gets in

Thank you, Orion.
I have carried out your suggestion and cleaned and poured water in to it slowly after reconnecting, nothing came through on the rain reports.
Any suggestions??

With the cover off, make sure the measuring plastic piece is free to move easily side to side. You may have missed some webs keeping it from moving. If it moves freely, you should hear it when you put it all back together and pour water down the top.
If this is all good, then check connections - maybe reseat the modular plug at the transmitter unit.
Other thoughts... Enough water needs to be poured to have a couple toggles, then time has to pass... It will be at least 48 seconds before it gets transmitted to the base station, and if you are looking for it in log data it don't forget the log interval may be set to many minutes.
