I've fixed those - I don't think Kevin is able to log on much at the moment, but he's keeping up with new submissions, so I think he must be OK.

Your weather station website co-ordinates show you off in the deep blue ocean, according to Google earth? In fact you appear to be hovering 5 metres above the waves.
Maybe a resolution thing or just no satellite pic. Perhaps hidden by cloud or snow?

Re: Cumulus Weather User Map Updates
Very poor satellite map coverage here. Most maps just say "Here Be Dragons"
. Which is appropriate if you look at the shape of the island and squint a bit.
If you switch to map view you'll see that Global Warming hasn't sunk us just yet.

Re: Cumulus Weather User Map Updates
I think Googles Ocean 3D maps sometimes ignore small islands, some days ago I find that the whole archipelago between Finland and Sweden had sunken into the sea, but now all small Islands are there again !

I've been able to keep up on the submissions since they are easy to do. Been away for a while though due to a variety of issues.steve wrote:I've fixed those - I don't think Kevin is able to log on much at the moment, but he's keeping up with new submissions, so I think he must be OK.
Still around though.

Re: Cumulus Weather User Map Updates
I recently moved to a neighbouring town and submitted my weather station again. Instead of replacing the old one, they are now both on the map.
It's under the belgian section. "Mere, Oost-Vlaanderen" should be removed. It is replaced by "Vlekkem, Erpe-Mere, Oost-Vlaanderen".
Thanks for looking into this.
Jimmy.

Re: Cumulus Weather User Map Updates
Steve, you have placed my weather station Tzouhalem-Maple Bay in the Unites States of America!
Both mount Tzouhalem and the small seaside community of Maple Bay are on the east coast of Vancouver Island, just off the west coast of British Columbia, in Canada.
So, my station is located on the slope of mount Tzouhalem, near Maple Bay, on Vancouver Island, in the province of British Columbia, in Canada.

Sorry, wasn't thinking, I knew that you're in Canada. I'm just not used to submitting entries for the map.gemini06720 wrote:Steve, you have placed my weather station Tzouhalem-Maple Bay in the Unites States of America!![]()
At least you checked your entry! Have you seen the number of flags in the middle of the Ocean, presumably due to people getting their hemisphere wrong? You'd think they would look at the map and check they'd been put in correctly

Re: Cumulus Weather User Map Updates
Steve how about creating a new forum in the section "Sandaysoft products", possibly after the "Cumulus 2", a forum with the title "Cumulus World Map"...
And then putting a 'must-read' message addressed to ALL users to ask them to check and ensure that their station on the Cumulus world map is correct...
So, that new "Cumulus World Map" forum could have a message area where users could request that their Cumulus weather station could be placed on the Cumulus world map...
Steve, in that section "Sandaysoft products", is it possible to move the forum entry for "SLCam" to the last position in that sections since that forum is somewhat very inactive...

Re: Cumulus Weather User Map Updates
I could add some form of words to the submission form...gemini06720 wrote:Steve how about creating a new forum in the section "Sandaysoft products", possibly after the "Cumulus 2", a forum with the title "Cumulus World Map"...![]()

I wouldn't be able to cope if everyone asked on the forum instead of using the submission form! So, that new "Cumulus World Map" forum could have a message area where users could request that their Cumulus weather station could be placed on the Cumulus world map...![]()
I'll probably delete it altogether, actually. I can't see me ever having the time to resurrect SLCam.Steve, in that section "Sandaysoft products", is it possible to move the forum entry for "SLCam" to the last position in that sections since that forum is somewhat very inactive...
