Cumulus has in the last couple of days has shown bizarre rain records, despite the fact no rain has fallen.

Highest Rain Rate 1.1643E5 mm/hr at 11:36 AM on 14 March 2011
Highest Hourly Rainfall 9704.1 mm at 11:36 AM on 14 March 2011
Highest Daily Rainfall 9704.1 mm on 14 March 2011
Highest Monthly Rainfall 9780.3 mm March 2011
Any thoughts??

Thanx

Here is an older thread with a linq to FAQ. That should get you straight.

Just to add that vast amounts like that are most likely a result of temporary corrupted data due to radio interference - or whatever - rather than the other common problems like wind shaking the rain gauge. Sometimes the (Fine Offset) station's rainfall counter just does odd things when Cumulus reads it. I keep adding extra code to try to cater for it, but it's difficult to cover every situation.
