The first thing I noticed after installing v983 was that as soon as I started Cumulus the lost sensor contact alarm went off for a few seconds, and has continued to do so after each re start; then; after a few uploads it would fail to upload to my website but the WG and PWS uploads would continue, I have tried to re install previous versions but this has had no effect and no matter which version I install Cumulus still reports that It is v983, at the moment I have v978 installed.. or do I ! Where is the version number derived from? it changes when you upgrade but not on downgrade.

I have just done another re start (with wind animation off) and theres no alarm

So at the moment all appears to be working fine, Great.

BTW; I don't think the sensor alarm is due to battery failure as they were replaced a couple of months ago.

Unlikely to be anything to do with this problem, but anything's possible.

If help | about says 983, then that's what you're running. It's built in to the executable.

I've not had this issue. I have my animation factor set on 30.

Could it be triggered by the size of the value used?

Hi Guys .. I was seeing the same error with the FTP "locking up". I have turned off the "Wind Gauge Animated" option and it seems to be working OK now.

I will see what happens over the next few hours.

I've also noticed this behaviour with 983 too. No Remote Desktop and with Gauge animation set at 20.

If I do a manual update (File/Web Update) it works OK and I get this report...

Logging in to bunburyau.localweatherview.net
Uploading C:\Cumulus\web\datasummaryT.html
Remote file: www/datasummary.html
Changing directory to /www
Uploading standard files
Sending html pages
Changing directory to images
Sending graph files
Logging out

But if I let Cumulus do the an automatic update I only get this...

Changing directory to images

and it just sits there until the next auto update.

It doesn't say that it's uploading my datasummary.html file - but it does.

Turning off the animation doesn't seem to have any effect on the process.

From the member who started this thread:

Turned off gauge animation and reinstalled build 983.

So far no issues with the web updates.

This is an interesting little conundrum.

TMS say that they can reproduce the problem and there will be a fix in the next release. I don't know when that will be, but they seem to have fairly frequent releases.

Are you saying that you have an ftp problem that turning off the animation doesn't fix? Or is it the ftp progress window that you think is wrong? If the latter, then the ftp progress window isn't really a reliable indication of what's happened, and is just there for manual uploads to show that something is actually happening. It's not intended to be left open and be useful in any way for automatic updates.

I think it's just the FTp window that's incorrect. The FTP itself appears to work OK.

No problem. I should really do something about the ftp progress window, it's rather confusing these days.

I could not get any other version to install except v983 so then I downloaded v978 onto a pc which has never had Cumulus on it and installed v978; except v983 has been installed! are your links pointing to the file?

I don't understand what you're asking. The only build of 1.9.1 currently available for download is 983.

Oh I see, sorry, I was going back to the post that announced build 1.9.1 v978 and downloading that, thinking I could get back to a more stable version, I didn't relise they were being overwritten.
I don't need an earlier version now any way as the original problem has been sorted.

Hi Steve and All,
I was having problems with this version as well with FTP/WU not all ways working and turned of the wind animation. Then FTP/WU started to work OK.

Yesterday I installed the latest version 984 and turned on the wind animation and I have no problems with FTP or WU now.
