Re: Yearly Data Summary
There are many (including the beteljuice) whose providers are still using 'old' php
, but at least you run into less problems when the globals / TZ etc. haven't been set up properly

Re: Yearly Data Summary
I'm using PHP 5.3.3 -- will try and adjust the script for earlier versions if I can.
I have also tested it on 5.2 without issue.
PS - Mr beteljuice, may I have a constructive comment rather than a swipe, or have a mis-understood the inference?

No swipe nor slur intendedPS - Mr beteljuice, may I have a constructive comment rather than a swipe, or have a mis-understood the inference?
I was referring to nearly all the 'clever' stuff in PHP5 having to be configured / initialized whatever by the (server) admin. Especially TZ functions (Inc. local ? sunrise / sunset etc.)
Most of which seem to never be done or are incomplete.

Re: Yearly Data Summary
Thanks Dave & Dave.
I found this works but probably only because all the files are in the same directory.
$dayfile='dayfile.txt';
I'll run with DaveNZ's as it is nicer

Re: Yearly Data Summary
Hi daj,
I was able to add my Wind Run data to the Yearly Data Summary and have added the appropriate button to view the figures, (see: http://www.brisbaneliveweather.com/annual.php) however, I would like to centralise the buttons above the data table as they are now slightly off centre. How can i do this?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Yearly Data Summary
Hi dave,
Your script wont read my dayfile. I think it is due to the fact I am using a different format. Here is how my data looks like :
16-01-11;32,2;225;14:50;-12,8;23:55;0,0;00:00;0,00;00:00;1021,14;23:55;0,0;00:00;0,0;-11,1;88,2;14,5;14:35
17-01-11;32,2;225;11:05;-19,7;07:40;-12,9;00:00;1021,20;00:00;1031,67;19:22;0,0;00:00;0,0;-16,9;161,5;16,1;10:45
What can I do ?

Hi Yvan,
http://wiki.sandaysoft.com/a/AnnualData ... _Variables
You need to edit the script to say your field delimiter is ;
and your date delimiter is -
Should work if you do that

Re: Yearly Data Summary
Hi Dan
in the weatherstyleannual.css you have set element 'ul' to margin-left: 10%; which may be needed elsewhere on the page, however in the datasummary table it is also using it.
To solve the problem, specifically tell the datasummary.css to have no margin for the ul element, so..
Look in datasummary.css for
and add an extra line
That should solve it
You have inheritied some CSS styling from another stylesheet on the page.captzero wrote:..... however, I would like to centralise the buttons above the data table as they are now slightly off centre. How can i do this?

Re: Yearly Data Summary
I have updated to the PHP version and added '(C)' in the .css file for celcius in the data heading description, but how can I add the degree sign charactor there? I tried copying the '(°C)' from your site but that gives a wrong charactor for the degree sign. Probably something very simple but another lesson to be learned

Re: Yearly Data Summary
Yes, and thank you Steve,You probably need to use
Code: °
instead of the degree symbol.
