WH1081 SPARE PARTS

Post by Bassman1 »

Does anyone know where I can get spares for my WH1081. The Desktop unit is not recieving any information from the outdoor sensors, I have changed all the batteries and have a neon signal, I suspect it could either be a cable or any of the outdoor sensors: thermo-hydro transmitter, wind speed sensor, wind direction sensor and rain sensor. :bash:

Hi Bassman, I have all original accessories of the Fine Offset WH1081 for sale. If you need one, you can see them on this site: http://www.arecoclima.com.ar/rep1.htm

The transmitter will still send temp and humidity data with the wind and rain sensors disconnected, so that leaves just the transmitter and console in question. Try to re-establish contact between them by removing the console batteries and USB cable. Refit batteries and carry out the procedure for a new installation as in the manual. It might help to move the units closer together initially.

I found this page, while browsing the web.

http://www.wsplc.com/acatalog/Weather_S ... ories.html

It is for the Watson W-8681, which may be the same as the Fine Offset
WH1081?

Can anyone else confirm if these two units are the same thing?
therefore using the spares on the above page will be ok?

Functionally they are the same, except the Watson has an atomic clock (Cumulus doesn't use it so no benefit).

The Consoles and main sensors are NOT compatible, they work at different frequencies. The wind speed, wind direction and rainfall sensors are all interchangeable.

Synewave,

Thanks for confirming that there are differences, between the two
systems.
