Chill Hours

Post by wd40 »

Here is the first apple bloom of spring on a variety called Anna I had posted about in another thread.
The bloom that is open is the first of the cluster and will produce the largest apple. It is called the King bloom and its apple the King apple. I will remove the other apples when they get marble size so the King apple will get larger. I will choose another apple out of the cluster if the King is bird pecked or misshapen.

Sorry, no banner - weather station out of action. Hoping to be up and running with a new home-made one soon.

Well thank you. This is an apple tree developed in Israel. These apples will be ready around the end of June. Not as good as the fall apples y'all have over there but a good summer apple with low chill hours.
