Changing logging interval

My Fine offset station currently logs at 30 minute intervals. Its manual says that the interval cannot be set via the receiver touch-screen, but has to be done via the software. (The supplier's website points straight to the cumulus site for software). However, the cumulus documentation says that changing the interval in cumulus has no effect on the receiver.

I would like to record at 10 minute or 5 minute intervals in order to get a more realistic picture of wind.

Note that using easyweather is not an option, since the station is at an unpowered site, and we visit occasionally with a laptop to download data.

I think using Easy-weather is the only way to change the station log interval
why not just install Easy-weather on your laptop and change it next time you go down to the site after you have downloaded you data :?:
Also as you only download data every 2 weeks it would be best to change it to 10 Mins or you risk running out of memory in the Station with 5 Min logging

You would have to go to the site to change the interval via the touch screen or Cumulus, if that were possible, so what's the difference between that and installing Easyweather (which is "the software" that the manual refers to) before you go, and using that just once to set the interval?

I think I know how to add the code to Cumulus to set the interval, but I prefer not to attempt to write to the station memory, the possible problems just aren't worth the risk.
