I've had David's (daj's) iCumulus associated with my website for many months now. Over the last few days (since my aquisition of an iPhone 4), I have been playing with a modified version of iCumulus that updates the current data from the realtime.txt.
My first version of this modification is now in operation. It looks for updated information every 15 seconds. The java script I have employed is also in use on my main Cumulus weather site and is an adaptation of the original wconsole.js from David.
Apart from the current daily info and the inclusion of an unofficial fire danger index (script adapted from fractonimbus, Deakin, Canberra, ACT), the other data is updated from Cumulus in the way that David set in place in his iCumulus version 1.2

Bob,
love your realtime iphone website adaptation. Works fine on my Nokia N8.
Can I have a copy of your code, please?

Re: Realtime iPhone Website
Bob
I hope you don't mind but I have taken your site and 'adapted' to my needs (I have removed the Fire Index, and reformatted the data to try and make it all fit on one line on my Palm Pre in Landscape format - the screen is only 320x480!)
I haven't publicly linked to it yet, but it can be found here

Re: Realtime iPhone Website
I'm always curious about real time.....Who do we think actually sits and looks at our websites watching the weather in real time? Apart from ourselves in a geeky moment?!
And certainly, I can't imagine doing it on my mobile.
Just curious really.
