I'm reasonably confident that the installation of 1.9.1 had nothing to do with it. It looks like your batteries may be getting marginal, if you're getting 'sensor lost' indications.

There's no 'anti-spike' setting for rainfall; it's just not easy to do, given that rainfall is an 'accumulation' value rather than a one-off instantaneous value like all of the others, and given the many different ways that Fine Offset stations can screw up the rainfall counter values. There are some checks in 1.9.1 to not believe the rain counter immediately if it does weird things, but if the change looks like more than a single bad reading, then it has to accept the value.

Hi Steve,

Thanks for the quick response. I didn't mean to suggest that the upgrade had caused the lost readings. Coincidence more likely. Got the occasional missed reading before, but last night was quite a bit more, but no problems after 3.30. The station, and batteries, are only a couple of months old. But from your earlier comment, I thought that the upgrade might be better at rejecting such things. A rain counter going backwards sounds weird to me :-) But if it can't, that's that.

Thanks for the upgrade.
