Hi daj,

I have set the options in the General Tab:

Also I have set Cumulus Internet files as below:

Note: I have the PHP file being generated locally within the Cumulus/data/ folder
where the txt file is also located.
I am not currently using the PHP file, but just though I would set it up so that
if I do I can change it to my other webserver FTP site at a later date.

btw. do I need to also tick the FTP box, even tho I am not FTP'ing it as its
generated on my local drive?

I decided earlier to see if switching back to an hourly backup would work.
Which it seems to be doing now:

The only problem is that it wont do a daily backup :?

Q.
When you select the hourly or daily backup should confirmation of the backup
option be displayed in the console window? as if I change it, it does not write an
entry in the console window. It only shows "Performing Hourly Cumulus Bacup"
once the backup has been generated.

I will need to check the code, but I wonder if it is not doing the daily backup as it has already done one today (i.e an hourly one).

I make daily backups with the toolbox (in the beginning hourly) it works fine for me but I don't use the zip option.

Do you manually delete all the previous backups? Or is there a way to automatically erase and keep just the latest backup?

I delete them manually once a month, they are located on a nas, I've enough room , if you want more security yo also sync the backupfolder
with mesh.com.

You also can run a batchfile ofcourse to delete the backups.

That could be the reason.

What I will do is set it tonight to do a daily backup for say
1:00am tomorrow morning.

Hopefully it will see it as a new day, and as I won't have
had any hourly backups done this "new day" it may work.

I will let you know what the results are tomorrow.

daj,

I think that may have been the problem, as this morning
when I looked to see if the backup I had set to be done
at 1:00am had been done.... It had sucessfully worked and
there was a backup in my folder. :D

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
