Hi all,
I've been a long-time browser of the forums, but never have posted. This forum actually helped me get into the weather station thing and I've now setup a few of them across my area.
I'm finally posting because I'm at my wit's end with my weather station. I have Ambient Weather WS-1080 hooked up to my Windows 7 (64bit) PC and am using Cumulus with the "Fine Offset" setting configured. I have rapid fire enabled for Wunderground, and it seems to work with one small exception:
Every now and then, at seemingly random intervals, Cumulus reports to Wunderground a static weather data (such as temp, wind speed, barometer, etc). For a while, it will update with the proper data, but then it defaults back to some incorrect static data.
For example, if you look today (17 Feb), you'll see many entries of 41 degrees F, barometer of 29.49 in, and a windspeed of 6.9mph. Scattered inbetween is the proper readings.
Not sure what's going on with this, and if anyone knows what I may be doing wrong. I can send a picture of the Cumulus configuration if need be, I'm just not at that desktop computer right now.
Thanks in advance for any help!

Re: Trouble with WS-1080 and Cumulus/Wunderground
That looks very much like two instances of Cumulus running. Someone had a similar situation a while ago, and it turned out they were running two copies, by some method. You may be doing it accidentally, somehow. Check in task manager...

Re: Trouble with WS-1080 and Cumulus/Wunderground
You were right, there was two instances running. How did that happen? I have Cumulus set to stop if there's a second instance.
Anyway, I killed both and started just a single instance. Seems to be running great now!
Sorry for bothering you with a simple problem, but I appreciate the help!

I think it's helpful to post any problems however minor or "silly" seeming - others may have the same problem but not feel like posting.

Sorry, no banner - weather station out of action. Hoping to be up and running with a new home-made one soon.
