Problem FTPing to Localweatherview server today

Post by malkie »

My ftp uploads are failing this morning, and now the website seems to be unavailable.

Anyone else having this problem?

Web site came back first, then ftp started to work a while later.

Mustn't sound like I'm complaining, it is a free server after all!

There wasn't meant to be the slightest hint of a complaint in my post. My sincerest apologies to David if it came across as such

I merely wanted to confirm what others were experiencing and added the almost industry standard quip about a cleaner using the power socket for the vacuuming ..

After it came back up, did Cumulus resume updating without intervention?

Yes Steve, no problem there.

(Edit:) Are the ftp errors saved in the diags folder?

Some errors are logged to the diags file, but more are logged to the debug log (if turned on) and the ftp log (if turned on).

So little point in posting my diags for you at present. I find the ftp log grows rather rapidly if I turn it on, so it is off at present.

guys,

There was indeed a blip this morning but we seemed to recover after a little while. I had a crazy, mad day at the office but did get a few emails from 'my users'. By the time I looked it was all running again. Cumulus does seem to recover well from such issues.
