Maplin selling the N96FY at a good price

Post by tj63 »

Hello from NE Derbyshire

I'm pretty sure it's the WH1081. I finally bought one yesterday after a long wait. Was hoping for one from Santa but obviously didn't drop enough hints. The price on the website is £69.99 but if you register with them you can get a voucher to knock £3 off. Not bad, to say it started at £124.99.

So, been busy setting Cumulus up (nifty piece of software, Steve), and just need to fasten the thing to the end of my shed and we should start getting some proper readings.

I've brought an old laptop back into service and got the website up and running.
Apart from Virginmedia denying me access for a while (index file problem), it all went pretty smoothly.

Well done

Sorry, no banner - weather station out of action. Hoping to be up and running with a new home-made one soon.

As another Brit running a Fine Offset with Cumulus, I started with 1.9.0, but I can recommend you upgrade to the beta version, gives a lot more features and seems very stable.

I made lots of hints about a USB weather Station before Christmas 2009, on December 25th 2010 it finally arrived! Mine came from Amazon because Maplin were so expensive before Christmas, but the balance has shifted now.
