Cumulus freezing up.

Post by CanonWM »

I have a Ambient WS-2080 and I am trying to set up Cumulus on my PC to monitor the data and to send the data to Wunderground. Every time I start the program it will open up a small window that says "Downloading data Please Wait". This will set there frozen for hours and do nothing. Does anyone know why this is not working? I have spent hours trying to figure this out with no luck.

You're using Windows 2000 and a Fine Offset station; this is not supported.

Upgrade to XP. That was the first version of Windows to fully support USB. Previous versions needed special drivers and if EasyWeather works with Win2k, I presume it has a special USB driver built in. From XP and onwards, USB is supported directly in the operating system.

Sorry, no banner - weather station out of action. Hoping to be up and running with a new home-made one soon.
