I've believe that Cumulus can backfill Wunderground statistics recorded when I'm offline. How is this done?

Re: Backfilling Wunderground
I think you need to be using Beta 1.9.1 to be able to have Cumulus do this seemlessly. The Beta version seems to be fairly stable, so I wouldn't hesitate to change over to it. Whenever you restart Cumulus after being off-line, it will fill in all the records.fractonimbus wrote:I've believe that Cumulus can backfill Wunderground statistics recorded when I'm offline. Re: Backfilling Wunderground
Thanks, Bob, I suspected something like that was necessary. I'll give 1.9.1 a go.

Re: Backfilling Wunderground
Just sent the following in a pm to fracto and thought it might be useful if I posted it here.
Noticed you have upgraded to 1.9.1
I have found a way to fill in the missing WU data when it fails to do so. I usually wait a while first to see if it will catch up, but if it doesn't, then here is what I do:

I have found a way to fill in the missing WU data when it fails to do so. I usually wait a while first to see if it will catch up, but if it doesn't, then here is what I do:
- Close Cumulus before starting this process.
In the Cumulus folder you will find a backup folder mmore folders in it. Each folder contains a set of Cumulus datafiles.
Find a folder that is before the data gap in WU.
Open the folder and copy the contents.
Paste the files into the data folder in the Cumulus folder. You will need to confirm the overwriting of these files.
Now open Cumulus and it will begin to import records from the station console data logger as if Cumulus as been shut down from the time and date of the backup files.
Importing and processing the records might take several minutes, depending on the gap.
