Thanks, Bob.

I may be new to Cumulus but website stuff was my occupation for several years :-) Next question: How do I set up that nifty sig block with the weather info in it?

Just need to add a description in your station setup on Cumulus so that on your website it will say "Welcome to <insert description here>.
If your as finical as I am with time, and you want your update time to be every 15 minutes starting from on the hour, then click OK at :00, :15 etc minutes in the Internet settings after you've changed the time to something other than 15 min (let's say 20) then back to 15. This will have the upload time say, for example, 22:00 instead of 22:06.
Have fun!

Thanks, Michael,

Yes, I had already twigged to the 22:06 ugliness, but I'm still tinkering with the HTML. And anyway, the observations are crap because of the sensor location at the moment :-( I'll get up on the roof on the weekend, or whenever the thunderstorms stop!

Have fun up there, but without the need for an umbrella. That could get ugly. Zap! There are alot of good info on the forums. Go as high as you can to get smoother wind direction and more accurate wind data. Get some cheap pvc pipe (conduit) to extend the wind speed meter as the wind vane can make it stop with turbulance. that's my findings anyhow.
HTML tinkering, good fun. I feel like I'm doing a programming course. Have fun.

Hey! There nothing wrong with my Dingo dog. Wallace is a good boy (when he's not digging holes or running mad barking at passes by).
Cumulus must be now the world standard?

Hi guys.

Cumulus has certainly exploded into Aus in the last few months.

And very welcome you are to cos we Brits have loads of offcuts over their.

Any of u have contacts in Alice please?

It would be nice to 'see' whats occurring.

My wife's cousin runs the local radio station in Alice Springs. There's also live webcams that run in the local bar so you can "see". I'm sure the radio station has a live feed too. But I'd have to check that out.

Aah :!: Dingos can't bark, but.

Then, I suppose if he's a bitsa, then he might be able to.

I wonder if the increased interest in weather down here is related to the increased number of extreme weather conditions? We seem to have a lot of "once in a hundred years" events lately.
