Hi Steve

I've created log files for three applications:

Heavy Weather 2.0 beta (comes with the unit from manufacturers)
Weather display V8.27APRS lite (a free version of a commercial package)
Cumulus 1.8.4 build 603

I've used a package called PortMon, although HDD free serial port monitor is very good, the free version doesn't allow the saving of log files.

The logs are in .txt format.

Each log run was for about 15 minutes, capturing the startup, running and shutdown of each application in turn. All logs were taken within about one hour.

I hope this is of some help to you , if you need any other tests or further logs collecting please let me know. Contact directly by Email would be best at the address I registered with this site.

I'll also check in here from time to time.

<EDIT> - archive was too large to upload - was going to upload in three individual archived files but they're still too big - largest is about 550 KB - do you have an address I can send them to??

Regards - John.

Following a full reset of my WS2300 - (remove the batteries and external power source and leave the unit for at least 5 minutes) I have been running Cumulus beta1.8.5 for about 10 days, and have just upgraded to beta1.8.5 636.

I have found non of the problems of strange readings from the WS2300 I had found with version 1.8.4, i've repeatedly restarted Cumulus to see if I could get it to produce any of the symptoms I experienced with V1.8.4 at startup. I'm pleased to say that Cumulus is performing perfectly.

Thanks Steve, your Cumulus software is spot on. I particularly like the ease with which i've been able to set up a web page from the files you supply.

Many thanks

John.

Thanks very much for the feedback, John, I was wondering if my 'tweaks' had helped; I have to admit that I wasn't at all confident that they would have any effect - let's hope this isn't just a coincidence!
