Has anyone tried to add a solar light mod to always power the sensors?

I made up a bracket for a 5" square panel, it contains an isolating diode and 2 RAM batteries. I have done this because I want to extend the service period between "down" times, hopefully will get 5 years between going up there again.

Do you have the install instructions?

I own a Alecto WS-4000 unit, and altough I do not think I have a Battery problem with the outside unit, I do like the idea of expanding Battery life.
Somewhere on this forum I noticed a post of a PCE-FWS 20 unit, appearantly a German version of our WS 4000 / WS1080 etc and that unit actually had a Mini Solar charger.

After 15min on Google I found a German online shop that could deliver these units to Belgium, the good thing for me is that the PCE-FWS 20 & My WS-4000 both transmit on 868mhz, so i assume (hope) that I can plug & play this outside unit with my set.
Worstcase i will need to rebuild the solar part to fit my outside unit.
The Solar unit cost +/- 40€ incl shipping bytheway

I am expecting delivery next week and will post results.

Works like a charm, no issues in setting-up just replace the non solar powered unit for the solarpowered and link it as usual to the base station.
