Cumulus Support

Not sure if I'm posting in the correct place. I've just noticed my banner data in my signature stopped being updated at 23:54 last night. Nothing has been changed on my server that I'm aware of. My Cumulus web pages are being updated as normal.

The data on my gauges link also stopped being updated at the same time.

Anyone else had this problem and know how to solve it please?

I stopped and restarted Cumulus and did a manual web update. That seems to have sorted things out.

Not sure what happened there. The netbook is on 24/7. I blame the government!

I'll keep an eye on things and if it happens again then further investigation is needed.

It sounds like your realtime.txt file stopped being uploaded.

Thanks Steve. I'm running the latest beta so if you think it might be a bug do you want any diagnostic files from me? Or do we put it down as a 'glitch'?

I've done a few changes to the next build which might help when realtime stops updating, but to be honest I can't actually see anything wrong with the code, it should just recover from any problems and carry on. It always does for me, and this is why it's so hard to work out why it doesn't sometimes for others.

Not to worry Steve. It's the first time it's happened. If it does happen again then it might be worth looking at but for now I'd just forget it. I only reported it because others may have had the problem and I am running a beta version of Cumulus.

Similar issue here.
Since I moved to 1.9.0 every now and then Cumulus seems to stop updating. Nu webupdates, no realtime update, no data received from weather station. Everything is on24x7. Restarting Cumulus fixes it for the next couple of hours or couple of days. Seems totally at random.
Happy to provide debug info or whatever.

Sounds like a different problem, in Ray's case it was just realtime.txt that had stopped updating (so presumably some kind of ftp problem).

Please zip up the diags folder and attach it.
