Hi everyone,
I am completely new to this weather game and was given a Maplins N96GY station for Christmas. It is now up and running but I am rather disappointed with the software. The display is rather dull and confusing to read.
My question is this. Can I buy better and compatible software for this type of station? I assume that Cumulus software works with it, but am I correct in this? I am running Windows XP on a standard PC at the moment.
At the moment I have no weather - 10/10 cloud, no wind, no rain, steady pressure and pretty constant outside temperature albeit cold. I just need something to brighten things up a little!
All advice gratefully received.

Hi Rod and welcome to the forum.
You don't need to buy any software, I'm sure Cumulus will do everything you need, and it's much better than Easyweather!
If you need help look in Help, the Wiki, or ask!

Hello Orion,
I have downloaded Cumulus and I see what you mean when you say it is a marvellous bit of software.
How do you get that great set of colours you show on your attachment? Mine looks broadly similar bit lacks that impressive graduated colour you have on yours.
All the best
Rod

Re: Alternative display for N96GY station
A number of the colour effects are only available in the BETA version of Cumulus, which will hopefully be a LIVE version very soon (days/weeks). Why not give the Beta version a try -- it's very stable.

Close down Cumulus, download the Beta and install it over the top of the current one -- you will not lose any data.

Sorry, no banner - weather station out of action. Hoping to be up and running with a new home-made one soon.
