Pressure Reading

Post by Orion »

Looking at averages and extremes for jan2011, I have a lowest reading of 0.0 hpa day 01
but looking at this month`s highs and lows it says 1013.6hpa on 04 Jan
any ideas ?

The figure on the 'This Year' and 'This Month' screen is found by trawling dayfile.txt, so it looks like somehow you have an entry in there for 1st Jan with a minimum pressure for that day of zero.

If you let me have your Jan log, dayfile.txt and diags files, I might be able to see how the zero got in there but evaded becoming this month's low. I suspect something odd happened at start up.

That's all rather strange. The low pressure for 1st Jan in dayfile.txt looks OK (and your file works OK for me in Cumulus). Also, it starts on 1st Jan - did you start again with your data at the start of the year?

Thanks for looking Steve I changed the 0.0hpa to 1026.0hpa from my Wunderground data for the 1st Jan at 00:01
00:01 4.1 °C 3.5 °C 1026.0hPa SE 2.6km/h 2.6km/h 96% 0.0mm
having only been running this WH1081 for about 1 month and getting it all calibrated as close as possible, I did a complete data wipe and started from scratch at 1min past midnight on the 1st Jan
Here is a backup from the 2nd jan that was backed up using cumulus Toolbox
Many thanks
ROY
