Cumulus will no loger download data from FineOffset station

I run Cumulus on Windows 7. Cumulus worked fine for half a year and published the weather on Internet. But now it does not work any more. When I start Cumulus, the window "Download data - Please wait" appears but it hangs there. The Easywether software works fine however and loads data. I changed the batteries but it had no effect. I upgraded Cumulus to latest version (1.9.0) with no effect.
Another problem is that when Cumulus hangs on Download data, it is not possible to stop Cumulus. I have to stop it by ctrl-alt-del.

Stig, can you post the diagnostics files, I think Steve will need these to sort this one out.

Hi, I have just installed Cumulus 1.9.0 for my new WH1080 and I get what seems to be the same problem as sulfsby.
Maybe something I am doing wrong as a newbie but the data downloads fine with Easyweather. I will try to attach the diag file...

Hi, I have just installed Cumulus 1.9.0 for my new WH1080 and I get what seems to be the same problem as sulfsby.
Maybe something I am doing wrong as a newbie but the data downloads fine with Easyweather. I will try to attach the diag file...

A couple of example diag files - I was able to close Cumulus properly on the 1st but had to resort to Task Manager for the 2nd

It's because you're using Windows 2000, this is not supported:

Ah sorry, I didn't notice that in the FAQs. That's a shame because the software looks really good. I'll have to see if I can upgrade, though its an old laptop so probably not

You might be able to upgrade to Windows XP ... even on an ald laptop...

I have been able to upgrade my ageing Thinkpad to XP - actually seems to run quicker than W2K. Reloaded Cumulus and it works fine - really super. Donation on its way. Thanks
