Wettest day 9.3? Is this mm? Rain rate 14.4? is this mm/hr? I presume so. I live in the tropics, forgive me, but this is low, but you still managed 1040 over 29 days. That averages 35mm for every rain day. Somethings up. Also, might have to manually change your minimum pressure.
In Darwin (Australia), we average 94 rain days and 1712mm for the year (over 70 yrs averaged).

Yes indeed; there are currently three large turbines here on the national grid, total capacity 8.25 MW, and this is soon to increase to six turbines. The school has its own turbine, as do quite a few houses. I'd quite like one myself, but it's quite an outlay for a decent one.

Look at it more positively. The number of sheep that have died of heat exposure on Sanday is .....
0! Can the same be said of NZ sheep?

And Steve's lowest maximum is above freezing which is not something many of us can achieve.

I'm sure the number wouldn't be much higher in NZ, for a couple of reasons... one of which we had better not discuss!

Why not Phil? I've heard that our neighbors are quite fond of sheep, I'd think they would be well looked after.

Well yes... that's the reason I wasn't going to speak of.
Of course the other reason is - it never gets that hot there.

I have many Kiwi friends mostly here but some across the ditch, and they tell me that they look after their sheep very well.
One of my technicians is a Kiwi and he swears by his container of lanolin grease for all those applications that need it.
And I'm not joking here, I can take a pic of it in his service vehicle to prove it if you wish......
I'm just a bit concerned about his aerosol can of lanolin spray

Look, youse jokers, enough of the ovine jokes, hokay? Time for some facts!

1. China ( 173,899,000)
2. Australia ( 100,100,000)
3. India ( 62,500,000)
4. Iran ( 54,000,000)
5. Sudan ( 48,000,000)
6. New Zealand ( 39,928,000)
7. United Kingdom ( 35,253,000)
8. South Africa ( 25,316,000)
9. Turkey ( 25,201,000)
10. Pakistan ( 24,900,000)
11. United States ( 6,135,000)
I hereby attest that I haven't clapped eyes on a sheep this year.
