I downloaded and turned on the Plot Latest Gust at around 16:30. You can see the difference in the gust plotted at

It produces a much spikier output than before.

Yes, effectively it now shows the peak gust in the last minute or two, rather than the last 10 minutes. And as the value potentially changes every 50 seconds or so, and Cumulus plots once a minute, you will normally get a new value each plot.
