Sensor loss?, bad data packet?

Was Cumulus running all the time, or was a restart involved? What's your pressure 'offset' (the difference between your relative and absolute pressures)?

Hi guys
Thanks for the reply probably just a glitch, As I did restart PC around that time i usually close cumulus down first
I have no offsets in cumulus as my readings are pretty close to my other local weather stations
The station is set to display REL pressure had at look at the station memory for 18:00 at it was normal

how do i find the difference between relative and absolute pressures ?
as cumulus only shows REL the same as the station LCD sorry a bit confused by this

here is a graph form easy-weather (never running at the same time as cumulus Steve)
and a couple of Diags from the same time period

You can get the station to show the absolute pressure, or look near the beginning of a Cumulus diags file.

My reason for asking was that I wondered if it was this problem: http://wiki.sandaysoft.com/a/FAQ#My_pre ... dropped.21, and it looks like it is:

28/12/2010 17:50:24.640 : EWUSB: Read pressure values: rel=1001.8 abs=1005.8 offset =-4.0

Think this was just a one off blip not seen it before
Did try putting EWpressureoffset=x.y in the ini but got wrong pressure readings as the value for x.y changes yesterday it was -4.0 and today its +8.2

28/12/2010 17:50:24.640 : EWUSB: Read pressure values: rel=1001.8 abs=1005.8 offset =-4.0
29/12/2010 11:01:57.463 : EWUSB: Read pressure values: rel=1018.4 abs=1010.2 offset =8.2

Yes, but it was that -4.0 that was causing you the problem. Using the ini-file override allows you to specify the same offset in Cumulus as you have configured in your station, so Cumulus doesn't need to rely on getting the correct value from the station every time it starts up.

What value did you put in the ini-file setting?

AH I put in EWpressureoffset=-4.0
needed to put in EWpressureoffset=8.2

EWtempdiff=999
EWpressurediff=999
EWhumiditydiff=999
EWgustdiff=999
EWwinddiff=999
EWpressureoffset=8.2
RainSeasonStart=1

Thanks for your help

P.S this is the closest station to mine just a bit higher http://www.wunderground.com/weatherstat ... IENGLAND27
