General Question WH1081 and Cumulus

Hi, I'm using the Wh1081 station with cumulus software.
The question i have being a "newbie" is why does cumulus report fine weather and the WH1081 tendency is clouds with a sun but outside is drizzle with clouds?
I've set my relative pressure up with the weather forecasters here, also I checked with outher users website and my pressure looks roughly the same as theirs.
I'm a bit baffled by that!
many thanks

The two forecasts are created completely independently with different algorithms.

The Weather icon on the Wh1081 can be adjusted independently of the pressure setting
just set the icon to what you think the picture will be in a few hours

Remember it's a FORECAST, not a nowcast.
Could be anywhere between 5hrs => 30hrs in the future depending on the rate of change of conditions.

MarkAUS,
Yes, I think you've missed the point as Beteljuice has said, it's a forecast, not the current conditions as you look out of the window.

heh MarkAUS
u might take a look at the console 'tendency' display.
I found that, like all the other displayed items, this can be toggled thru a preset list.
Play around with the display and you may get it to sync with the actual weather , albeit a few hours later.

hi
just bought my ws 1090 and been reading the forums in respect of setting the tendency of the weather. cant find anything that explains it in simple terms that i understand. Why should you need to set it manually? I had an oragon scientific in/out thermometer for years. It had a tendency window which was fairly accurate but it came out of the box that way.
any help appreciated.
thanks
