You're welcome, and I hope you now have a better understanding of how it all hangs together.
BTW, I know St. Evenage very well. I worked for many years for Dixons at their Datacentre in Pin Green - it's been flattened now!

One last thing... is there any way to make a browser refresh automatically when the data is uploaded (I'm not going to use the realtime due to bandwidth, so it would be updated at the 5 minutes polling)
Crickey...small world. Yes the Dixon site is now being turned into a housing development - as if Gt Ashbey isn't big enough already !!

I think for your wallboard page, using this method is totally appropriate. I wouldn't recommend using it for your other pages as the refresh can be quite annoying to users.
The 600 value is in seconds, so set it to what you want but there is no point in setting it to anything less than your upload interval.

The process probably just needs some diagrams to make it clearer. Something like:
Standard files: indexT.htm (with web tags) ---process---> index.htm (web tags converted to data) ---ftp---> index.htm on your web site
Extra files: yourname.html (with web tags) ---process--> yourname.htmltmp (web tags converted to data) ---ftp---> yourname.html on your web site
But of course that doesn't cover things like the 'rename' option and the fact that with extra files, the file name you start with doesn't have to be the same as the one you end up with on your web site...

Steve, I thought the standard files also created TMP files? I haven't used that option for a long time so I can't be sure.

Thanks Paul, seems to be updating at 5 minuet intervals (even though i tries 120 as a value
) - but at least it will provide us with a view on what's happening locally with the current weather situation....
Steve, sounds a good idea.... I would of been well stumped if it wasn't for Paul's help, especially as modding pages etc is not something you do every day... well I certainly don't

Try reading that which was wrote
If your pages are being uploaded at 5 min. intervals, then that is the fastest possible data change, regardless of how quickly you ask a web page to "refresh".

The realtime box is separate to your index page, your index page will only upload the amount you specify in the FTP area,

I've just done a little test. I have a page listed in extra files, process, realtime and ftp ticked. My realtime interval is 48sec. If I refresh my test page manually every few seconds, the data is being updated every minute at least (probably every 48secs!).
What setting have you got set for your realtime interval?

When I opened your page and left it as is, it said "Conditions at local time 22:38". After about two minutes it automatically changed to "Conditions at local time 22:40". That seems to be correct with a 120 second page refresh.
EDIT:
BTW, there is no point in having your realtime interval set to anything less than 48sec. As the Fine Offsets sensors only transmit their data to the console every 48secs and that can't be reduced.

So your page IS being generated / processed / uploaded @ 10s. intervals (same as your realtime.txt which you have enabled). (I just checked)
Therefore your 120s 'refresh' or shorter should be working !
Edit: (just seen above post) - a refresh of 30s would seem 'transparent'.
