Post by Conrad »

I have uploded the files to \public_html\weather on my server but when I go to http://www.dreamhills-2.com/weather/ all I get is what you see.

I know I must be missing something I need to do but its been a long day and I can't see it

So it looks like you have uploaded the core files via FTP

Have you now asked Cumulus to actually start adding the standard data pages?

Section 3 (Configuration) of this article?
http://wiki.sandaysoft.com/a/Simple_Web ... figuration

If you have done this, then you probably have mis-typed the Directory entry (it too should be public_html/weather)

You haven't got a index.htm file there on the server? Have you got the correct info set on Cumulus Internet settings, particuluarly the remote path?

Cumulus will create index.htm, today.htm, yesterday.htm etc, when you configure it correctly. -- all these pages are needed to show your site.

See my earlier message above on what to check. Or can you upload a screen shot of your internet settings in Cumulus?

Nope, Cumulus deals with all that. I'm assuming you heave read the help or wiki on how it works ;)

If you are happy your settings are correct in Cumulus (hostname, password, username, etc). then Cumulus must be failing to connect to your web server to do the upload.

Turn on FTP Logging in the config menu, then force a web update (File, Web update). Attach here the ftp log file it creates in the Cumulus folder. This will hopefully give a clue where it is failing

As long as you have told Cumulus to automatically update the website it will do it (by the looks of it every 15 mins according to your page)
