History Graphs

Hi,
I have just started using Cumulus
http://www.sunwharf.com/willingdon/index.htm and all is running well, very easy to set up.
I can only see history graphs in Trends, is it possible to have week, month, year graphs? I've had a search but must have missed it somewhere.
Thanks
Nick

Hi Nick,
You do not have much control over the graphing periods in Cumulus graphs for the website. If you want to provide these you will need to look into producing your own using jpGraphs or some of the other graphing tools
There have been quite a few discussion in the "Website" section of the forums -- it will also depend on what features you have available to you on your webserver.
Here is an example I pulled together a few months ago on recent temperatures (using Highcharts)

Ah ok, thanks David.
I'll have a look but I'm pretty useless at web "techy" stuff. I am quite into trends over different time periods, hence the question.
Thanks again
Cheers
Nick

You could produce your own manually, say in Excel, and upload those periodically. Obviously they are not dynamic as data changes each day and will rely on a manual refresh but it may be enough for your purposes. example, if you were comparing last month to the same period the year before.

Yep a possibility I guess, but I would prefer auto generated, if at all possible. I'll play with the graph generating program you use and see if I can understand it
Thanks
Nick

Funnily enough, I downloaded high charts a few days ago and replaced my other graphing library (Flash based)
Highcharts are very impressive!
Example:

I have set it up where every time the index page is visited it checks a database to see if yesterday's data is entered. If not, then using yesterday webtags it updates the database

So you don't put the data in a database and present the graphs with a php script I can't follow this

I said the data automatically goes into a database.
Then based on which options a visitor selects the data is pulled from the database, and displayed in a table if 'list data' is selected, and/or displayed on graphs if 'graph data' is selected, using php of course
