When I do a web update on Cumulus it fails to log out most of the time. It gets down as far as 'Sending graph files' & then after a long wait, restarts the process. Very occasionally it will log off. Any ideas.
Cheers,
Chris

Re: Logging off
It sounds like it is timing out or having some other sort of error during the upload causing the connection to be disconnected. The only way I can see for the 'logging off' message not to appear is if the connection is already disconnected by the time it gets to that point. The ftp log may give more information.
I'll add a message at the end as an alternative to the 'logging off' message if the connection has already gone.
Steve

Re: Logging off
Hi Steve,
Thank you for your observations on the ftp log. I have removed everything to do with Cumulus & re-installed it. I have been mainly successful. Cumulus now logs out after a manual update & the unrecognised file that you mentioned has now gone. One problem remains which is it does not regularly update automatically despite putting in an extra line telling it to refresh every 120 seconds . I am starting to think that it might be the computer or my Belkin Router.
Many thanks.
Cheers,
Chris

Re: Logging off
In the log you sent me, just about every upload was timing out. Have you tried active ftp mode?dionaea wrote:One problem remains which is it does not regularly update automatically
If you want to send me another ftp log I can have a look, but I suspect it will just show the timeouts. It uses a timeout of 15 seconds; I could increase this, but I doubt it would help.

Re: Logging off
Hi Steve,
I don't know but I think it might help if I could increase the timeout. When I do a manual web update it frequently ends with 'Already disconnected' - a repeat update ends with 'Logging out'.
Cheers,
Chris
